Hanamoto "Hagu" Hagumi is another genius of the group. She is actually 18 years old at the start of her college but rather looks like a normal child. She is also shy and quiet.
Hagu is from Azumino city, Nagano prefecture. She lived with her grandmother. But when her grandmother passed away, Shuuji asked her to come with him and study at their Art College. Her work expands and improves thanks to Shuuji's guidance and care.
She is introduced by Shuuji to Mayama, Takemoto and Morita. Takemoto and Morita falls in love with her and both of them express their feelings in different ways. However, Hagu doesn't know anything of their feelings; not to mention what the strange sensation within her which is love.
Hagu is also close friends with Yamada. She respects her and looks up to her as an older sister figure.
Hagu is a gifted child. She excels from large scale sculptures to interpretative breakthrough paintings and she never ceases to amaze the people who are close to her. However, she becomes really nervous when interacting with other people. She's silent when other people are talking to her and becomes very tired when in a crowd. She finds it difficult to relate to other people her age and stresses because of anxiety. The cause of her stress might come from the public's expectation and it becomes a burden to her work.
Other students think of her as a strange girl because she lacks interactions with the body. Other students also feel rushed whenever they see her work. Some also feel jealous and so they despise her in return. But Hagu is the complete opposite of what other people think. She's really sensitive and is also concerned of the people around her.
